Product Features

PRODUCT BRIEF- Sand is a granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. It is defined by size, being finer than gravel and coarser than silt. Sand can also refer to a textural class of soil or soil type. The composition of sand varies, depending on the local rock sources and conditions, but the most common constituent of sand in inland continental settings and non-tropical coastal settings is silica (silicon dioxide, or SiO2), usually in the form of quartz.

Technical Information

  1. CORAL SAND:
  • Coral sand is a collection of sand of particles originating in tropical and sub-tropical marine environments from bio erosion of limestone skeletal material of marine organisms.
  • APPLICATION:
  • Coral sand is excellent for absorbing agricultural chemicals, such as bactericides, pesticides and herbicides. You can use our coral sand irrespective of location, since bacteria are removed from the coral sand through burning and uniform grain size of coral sand is provided according to your request.

2.GLASS SAND:

  • This type of sand mainly consists of silicon dioxide. and this is the main element in this type of sand.
  • Applications:
  • Glass sand is used to create road surfaces. It perfectly removes water; when glass sand is used for the road surface, the quality of the road surface improves. Glass sand can be mixed with gravel and used separately or as an additive to asphalt.

3.GYPSUM SAND

  • This type of same mainly consists of Calcium sulfate dihydrate. (CaSO4·2H2O)
  • Application:
  • Used to manufacture dry wall, plaster, joint compound ,agricultural area

4.OOID SAND

  • Ooids are rounded pellets, and are also spheroidal coated sedimentary grains. And this type of sand is formed by calcium carbonate.
  • Applications
  • used in the home aquarium industry because their small grain size (0.2 to 1.22 mm) is ideal for shallow static beds and bottom covering of up to 1" in depth.

5.SILICA SAND

  • Silica Sand is typically a form of Silicon dioxide (SiO2), made up of two main elements - silica and oxygen. The most common form of Silicon dioxide is quartz, which is a chemically inert and hard mineral, broke down into tiny granules over time through the wind and water called Silica Sand.
  • Applications:
  • Silica sand used for water purification and manufacture of glass, synthetic foundry moulding catalysts, disodium ultramarine etc. it is also used for acid heat resistant ceramics, refractories, pottery glaze, enamel etc. It is also used in aquarium pond and laying artificial turf

6.PIT SAND

  • Pit sand is classified under coarse sand which is also called Badarpur in common language. This type of coarse sand is procured from deep pits of abundant supply and it is generally in red-orange color. The coarse grain is sharp, angular and certainly free from salts etc which is mostly employed in concreting.
  • Applications
  • PIT SAND is sand used in general construction and other utilitarian purposes.

7. RIVER SAND

  • This is generally gathered from the banks of the river. It has a fine quality, unlike pit sand. This sand is usually whitish grey in color and has rounded particles.
  • Applications
  • River sand is suitable for all construction purposes. As there is very very low salt content they can be used for a variety of construction purposes like brick making, plastering, concreting etc

8.SEA SAND

  • sea sand is darker, dark brown and lighter. Obtained from seashores. Fine, rounded and polished due to rubbing action of water.
  • Applications
  • It is suitable for all construction purposes. As there is very very low salt content they can be used for a variety of construction purposes like brick making, plastering, concreting etc

9.GREEN SAND

  • Green sand is an aggregate of sand, bentonite clay, pulverized coal and water. Its principal use is in making molds for metal casting. The largest portion of the aggregate is always sand, which can be either silica.
  • Applications
  • Used in garden as fertilizer. It is also used in beach

10.DESERT SAND

  • Desert sand is a very light and very weakly saturated reddish yellow colour which corresponds specifically to the coloration of sand. It may also be regarded as a deep tone of beige.
  • Applications
  • used for all sorts of construction works, industrial processes, glass production, and has applications in playgrounds

11. LITHIC SAND

  • Lithic sand is predominantly composed of small fragments of rocks. Such sands and sandstones are said to be lithic. Lithic sand is unusually immature sand type. It means that the source rocks must be not very far and the weathering agents have not yet had time to break these rocks down to their constituents.

12. BIOGENIC SAND

  • Biogenic sand is composed of exoskeleton or bone fragments of dead sea (usually) creatures. There are many different organisms that can contribute to the formation of this sand type and therefore one biogenic sand may greatly differ from another. Biogenic sand is usually light-colored and its components are usually made of carbonate material although some organisms prefer silica.
  • Applications
  • Aquarium ponds

13. GARNET SAND

  • Garnet sand is a good abrasive, and a common replacement for silica sand in sand blasting.
  • Applications
  • In industrial flooring construction due to the antiskid properties. It is also used for water filtration media.

14.VOLCANIC SAND

  • It is generally occur in Volcanically affected regions have their own type of dark-colored sand with a different type of characteristics. And sometimes coal is found in that.
  • Applications
  • Construction site and bed for artificial grass
