Product Features

PRODUCT BRIEF:- Landscaping Artificial grass is a surface of synthetic fibers made to look like natural grass. It is most often used in arenas for sports that were originally or are normally played on grass. However, it is now being used on residential lawns and commercial applications as well. The main reason is maintenance—artificial turf stands up to heavy use, such as in sports, and requires no irrigation or trimming. Domed, covered, and partially covered stadiums may require artificial turf because of the difficulty of getting grass enough sunlight to stay healthy. It has been gaining ground and a reputation for being eco-friendly because it doesn’t need water, fertilizer.

Technical Information

INSTALLATION METHOD:

  1. REMOVE THE EXISTING SURFACE
  • This can be done by hand if it is a relatively small area being fitted with artificial grass. For larger areas, use a turf cutter. However, it must be taken into account to never build your base on top soil
  1. COMPACT THE GROUND
  • Confidently compact the ground by using a vibrating plate or roller. These can usually be hired from equipment hire centres for inexpensive prices.
  1. Place Tanilised timber battens
  • Once your base has been compacted then align straight edge perimeter 50mm x 50mm tanalised timber battens. These batons are insecure into ground using wooden stick
  1. LAY YOUR SAND OR STONE BASE
  • Place down a minimum of 75mm of sharp and compacted sand or stone. If the sand is too dry, add a little wet sand and compact using your vibrating plate or roller.
  1. PLACE ANTI-WEED MEMBRANE
  • Place anti weed membrane by using nails to secure any other area.
  1. ROLL OUT YOUR GRASS
  • Carefully roll out your artificial grass, being careful to not disturb the weed killing membrane as this will damage the levelling work on the base layer. Remember, your grass has a directional pile, so it will all need to face the same way if you have any joints. We recommend laying the grass with the pile leaning towards your house or main area so that it looks more natural.
  1. CUT AND TRIM THE EDGES
  • After the settling process is complete, cut and trim the artificial grass, using a sharp Stanley knife, ensuring the grass is cut neatly around the edges.
  1. JOIN THE GRASS TOGETHER
  • In order to compose the joins of your grass, use our high-quality outdoor tape and glue, following the instructions on the products. Lay the tape and apply the adhesive, before pulling the grass edges together and applying some weight to them. This can be achieved with plant pots, stones or other heavy materials.
  1. BRUSH THE GRASS UP AND RELAX!
  • Finally, the fibre may be relatively flat from being rolled up, so be sure to brush against the pile to bring the fibres of the artificial grass upright.
