Technical Information

INSTALLATION METHOD:

  1. Readying the surface for laying

● In a new construction, the flooring is raw so you don’t have to break the flooring into pieces. On raw flooring, you have to put a 2 inches thick paste of Crushed Sand and Cement in the ratio of 7:1. For laying a 200 Sq. ft flooring you need to mix 14 flagons of crushed sand and 2 flagons of cement.

  1. Cutting the stone slab

● Cutting the granite stone is a very technical and hard process because granite is harder than other types of stones. A cutting blade can be used to cut 1200 Sq.ft marble but granite is not similar to others. One cutting blade can only last up to 100 Sq. Ft. and in the worst case scenario not even that much. The slab has to be cut into equal pieces.

  1. Laying the granite stone slab

● After the above two steps, one should start laying the slabs on the floor. While laying the floor one has to keep this in mind that all the pieces are vertically equal and if they are not then the person has to tap the stone with a wooden tool which is frequently used for this process. Skirting is installed the next day after the floor is installed.

  1. Sticking the slabs together

● After the laying process is done then it comes to sticking the slabs together. Sometimes when the alignment of slabs is not equal then we use a cutting blade again on the already laid slab and after that, we fill epoxy or high thixotropic knife-grade mastic.

  1. Initial grinding of floor

● The floor should be ground with granite grit from 00 to 3.

  1. Filling of the floor

● After the initial grinding, some grout will have to be filled again with epoxy or high thixotropic knife-grade mastic.

  1. Final grinding of the floor

● After the filling process, one should wait for the filling to dry up and then the person should start the grinding again with granite grit from 4 to 6.

  1. Polishing of floor

● After the final grinding one should start with the polishing process. Flooring should be polished using the polishing powder with a scrubbing pad.

  1. Crystallization of floor

● In the end, the crystallization has to be done using a crystallization chemical with white a scrubbing pad.

Maintenance and Warranty

MAINTENANCE:-

DO'S:-

⮚ Wipe up household spills as soon as possible.

⮚ Use a doormat to keep out dirt. Grit and dirt that is tracked in from your shoes can act like sandpaper, removing the finish from your floor.

⮚ Protect your flooring from damaging furniture by using floor protectors. A good rule of thumb is that the heavier the item, the wider the floor protector is needed.

⮚ Rinse well to remove all the soap.

⮚ Wash your floor occasionally with a floor cleaner. Look for a neutral cleaner that isn’t too harsh.

⮚ Sweep, dust, or vacuum, your floor daily if needed.

⮚ When moving heavy pieces, you a plywood sheeting path. If a piece of furniture, or an appliance, is too heavy to carry, you can use a plywood path to drag them. This will protect your flooring and make your move easier.

DONT'S:-

⮚ Never use a detergent that is abrasive. Vinegar or “mop and shine” products may leave a film on your film, rather than give you that shiny floor that you seek.

⮚ Never use a wax polish.

⮚ Never use an abrasive scrubbing tool on your floor. This can cause scratches and harm your flooring.
