Acoustic ceilings are an easy fix to absorb sound. This type of suspended ceiling is made up of the stick-built grid system and acoustic ceiling tiles. It's also called a lay-in ceiling, which is versatile, durable and cost-effective. Acoustic ceiling tiles can go right into an existing T-bar suspended grid system. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:

INSTALLATION METHOD:

  1. Install tile with a pattern running in one direction.
  2. Install suspension systems to comply with ASTM C 636, with hangers supported only from building structural members. Locate hangers not less than 6" from each end and spaced 4'-0" along each carrier or direct hung runner, unless otherwise indicated. Leveling to tolerance of 1/8" in 12'-0".
  3. Secure wire hangers by looping and wire tying, either directly to structures or to inserts, eye screws, or other devices which are secure and appropriate for substrate, and which will not deteriorate or fail with age or elevated temperatures.
  4. Install hangers plumb and free from contact with insulation or other objects within ceiling plenum which are not part of supporting structural or ceiling suspension system. Splay hangers only where required to miss obstructions and offset resulting horizontal force by bracing, counters playing or other equally effective means.
  5. Install edge moldings of type indicated at perimeter of acoustical ceiling area and at locations where necessary to conceal edges of acoustical units.
  6. Screw attach moldings to substrate at intervals not over 16" o.c. and not more than 3" from ends, leveling with ceiling suspension system to tolerance of 1/8" in 12'-0". Miter corners accurately and connect securely.
  7. Install acoustical panels in coordination with suspension system, with edges concealed by support of suspension members. Scribe and cut panels to fit accurately at borders and at penetrations.

Maintenance and Warranty

MAINTENANCE:-

● Professional cleaning is recommended

● Do not use dishwashing or laundry detergents

● Use only upholstery detergent

● Do not wet filling

● Allow to dry away from direct heat thoroughly before re-use

● Keep away from sharp or abrasive objects

● Always wear clean gloves when handling panels.

● Apply a soft, dry cloth or vacuum with a soft bristle brush when cleaning panels.

WARRANTY: 1 year for color fade

● Minus the area not covered by the false ceiling.
